Top 10 Video Game Easter Eggs & Secrets of 2023

Even though 2023 was one of the best ever years for gaming, I wouldn't say it was one of the best for easter eggs. Despite that, from Fortnite to Cyberpunk, there were some really cool secrets hidden within games that I wanted to show you!

the assassins creed easter egg is actually insane

pretty much every fish in the ULTRAKILL fishing level is a reference to another piece of media, but you also get the Cooked Fish by throwing them on the fire in the level. When the level came out, the ULTRAKILL wiki was filled with notes cataloging what each fish was a reference to. Since Cooked Fish was the odd one out, it had a bunch of notes saying things like "Cooked Fish is a reference to the real life practice of human beings cooking food". Other great wiki notes include the fact that, since this level and all others with fish are in the Wrath layer, that means every fish that has gone to hell somehow committed the sin of wrath.

For the RE4 remake one, there are two golden eggs. That one is for a request, but there is a second one found in Salazar's throne room. The request to egg Salazar's painting is actually suppose to be a hint to use the golden egg on him.
