I'm reminded of a Finnish movie I saw decades ago in the late 80s. All I remember from it, is that a character in the movie had this "tasting machine" that could speak (looked like a microwave IIRC), and he would put his food into this machine too see if it deemed the food tasty, and if so then he would eat it lol.

I have no idea what the movie is called, or what it was about or anything else except that part. Also it was probably a comedy.

I often wonder if the reason why e.t.'s seem to have contact with early civilizations, is because they view them as innocent still, like a baby or young child, and enjoy their company and intrigue. However, there may come a time when they observe the tech here and get a bit concerned. To the point where they start checking up alot more frequently, or just habe someone hanging around incase things get really silly.
