If you do that, that honestly shows your character as a person being garbage. If you break your friends controller that they love, you should shell out the money for a new replacement. A friendship means more then a couple dollars you saved.

As long as it’s not broken on the outside they’ll basically ship it out, do you really think they have the time to individually test them? Also it’s kind of shitty breaking a “friends” controller then getting them a 2nd hand one that’s been used and lord knows where it’s been. Won’t judge tho

as someone who worked in reverse logistics: no. They really aren't checked remotely well. About 10% of the items that get put up for resell get sent back to us for being broken. and that's just the "open box" items. For used, it's like 15%. There's too many returns to process and not enough people, generally, so we would get asked to grab an item, open the box, check the item for damages and condition, grade the condition of an item and enter it in our system, then rebox the item and put it on the other line in around 2 minutes. It's not exactly reassuring for quality

Every single thing that I’ve ordered from the warehouse deal was missing pieces or damaged in a significant way.

Although, I bought a water filter pitcher for less than half price and it was missing a single piece. I contacted the company directly and asked him if I could get a replacement and they send it for free. So essentially got a $60.00 ZeroWater pitcher with a filter for $27.

So apparently because of how things work a lot of the things aren't technically used by anyone most of the time it's just because the box might have been damaged so they can't sell it at full price.
