Does Preen really work? Here's my gardening experiment

I hate weeding so I wanted to give Preen a try. I put Preen down on one row of corn and didn't put any Preen down on the row next to it. Here's what happened.

Thank you so much, very nice experiment. I take it this works by making to soil too rich for weeds to sprout? Almost like using a top soil compost for weed control? Does it also give nutrients to your growing plants as a compost topsoil would?

I would never ever ever ever ever ever use preen next to veggies. Just get weed block fabric or 6 mil black and roll it down the rows.
