I apply Preen on top of my newly laid wood mulch. It works very well. After about three months fluff the mulch and apply it again. Be sure to water it in.

great video. if we are adding wood mulch do we add preen first and then put wood chips on top of it? or just put down the wood chips and sprinkle preen on top?

Im planning on putting out rocks over fabric weed barrier. Is this something I can our on the soil before laying out the fabric and rocks to further prevent weeds from growing? And after I lay out the fabric and rocks is this something that I can reapply?

My problem is clover or creeping woodsorrel growing straight out of my Sweet Golden Flag plants (Acorus Ogon). These plants are infested, I've been pulling the weeds out by hand but it's difficult because you can pull the plant out as well. I'm not sure if Preen will control this after we pull the clover out, it's probably growing without reseeding. Any advice on how to kill the weeds and not the plant would be appreciated. Remember, these have infested the Golden Sweet Flag so any treatment will also touch the good plant.
