Hi, Dr McLaughlin! I'm a fan from Norway. I think your committment is admirable in disseminating invaluable knowledge about the interconnected state of Rome and related civilizations. Recently I've become acquainted with the work of Walter Scheidel, Moses Finley, Peter Temin etc. whose particular area of specialization is actually economic and social/demographic history in the ancient world. Could you recommend any scholars of ancient global history? Or scholars of antiquity in general and where it's possible to find their work online? I'd really like to access academic articles written by them. Tremendous thanks in advance!

1 - The Ancient Irish. Have read one of your books on Ancient Roman Eastern trade and would love to get your insights into Ireland as you haven't covered this in detail previously. Thank you for all your efforts in producing this publicly accessible work for a global audience.

I'm very interested in what they traded, how did they communicate and and what did the Romans think of the from outside the empire and and what did people outside the Empire think of the Romans
