They have greatly improved on the original design and made it much more compact & functional like a real pen. It's not perfect but it's the best 3D printing pen I've used to date.

You should invent something that can move that pen in the X, Y & Z directions so you could make super accurate models... :)

Excellent video! Fusing two pieces together is a fantastic use, imho. Definitely going to think about picking one up. Thanks!

i could see this being useful for cosplayers to add fine details to their printed props.

I think the reason for the clogging was maybe you blocking the tip or extruding too close to the tip. The gears keep trying to push out material and with the nozzle blocked it just gets bunched up.

Umm ya Jerry No, just No. Do not buy one of these for joining PLA parts or fixing cracks. Use IPS Weld-On to join PLA parts it can also be used to create a slurry for filling larger areas just like acetone on ABS.

I'm thinking of getting this actually! Thank you very much for the review. This also will help me figure out how to de-bug and get it de-clogged when I get it. <3

Thanks for the review Jerry. Been watching this tech off and on at crowd funding sites and was curious if it would finally be released. Glad the tech is moving along well, and expect to see a set of jigs similar to what you can get for the Dremmil tool some time in the future.

That stick thing next to you was for jams you push it through where you put the plastic in and you let it heat up and the you push it through

On your last one. You have to hold the back button. I have one of those and it works fine. Also, you might have needed to set the temp at a different setting.

Have you thought about lubricating your filament like on your regular 3D printer? That might help, or it might make the motor in the pen not move the filament at all
