Logan Paul Sued Coffeezilla for Defamation. Here's Why It's a Junk Lawsuit. | LAWYER EXPLAINS

In this video we go through the highlights of the Complaint from the lawsuit where Logan Paul is suing Coffeezilla for defamation for statements Coffeezilla allegedly made related to Logan Paul's failed NFT project, Cryptozoo.

After Coffeezilla exposed Sam Bankman-Fried and the collapse of FTX, he turned his sights on Logan Paul's crypto NFT project, Cryptozoo. See his videos here:

In response, Logan Paul posted a short video to his main channel, Logan Paul, in which he threatened Coffeezilla with a defamation lawsuit. He followed this with an episode of his podcast, Impaulsive, where he repeated the same threat. He has since taken down both videos and reached out to Coffeezilla to inform him that he's no longer pursuing litigation--but he still may have opened himself up to liability along the way, nonetheless.

I look at the scam thing this way;

Did people get scammed? Yes
Was Logan Paul in charge of the operation? Yes

Therefore I think it is reasonable to refer to it as his scam, as it scammed people, and he was in charge of it.

Admits it's HIS project. Admits that there was con men and scamming happened in HIS project. Personally thanks Coffeezilla. Then goes and sues for defamantation. This guy has a lot of money, why does he have such bad lawyers?

Logan has come across as completely clueless when it comes to Coffeezilla. He has made statements about Coffeezilla's "$10M studio" as if he believes it's a real thing. Coffeezilla upped his YouTube game a few years ago with a green-screen background (as seen in this video) and clearly as a joke has referred to it as his "$10M studio." The fact that Logan would believe that Coffeezilla even has 10 million dollars to spend on a studio (or would spend that much if he had it) only goes to show how out of touch he is with the finances of average people, as well as his inability to take Coffeezilla's statements in context.

a product was promised. money was taken for said product. till date, no product was delivered. it isn't a case of product being delivered was different from marketing, it wasn't a case of over-selling features that aren't what it was said to be, there is NO PRODUCT. this is a scam.

I hope Zilla gets discovery, but I suspect Paul will withdraw his suit, and then lie again about it all -- either claim he won, claim Zilla settled, claim the details are too complicated for the intelligence of Paul's audience so they don't deserve any info, or play the blame game and blame the legal system as unfair to him.

At this point how is Logan Paul any different from Bob Murray? This smells like a SLAPP suit intentionally aimed at Coffeezilla, and it’s filed in federal court, in the 5th Circuit’s jurisdiction, where there is no allowable mechanism to dismiss the case under an anti-SLAPP statute.

Coffeezilla's first major break was actually "Save The Kids" Token, which was another crypto-scam. Though his confrontation of SBF definitely made him even more mainstream.

Another incident, which he (Logan Paul) later blatantly admitted to doing on his podcast - was acting as if the colorblind glasses by a company named Enchroma made him see colors again. On the podcast he openly admitted to not seeing colors while wearing the glasses, but playing it up for his fans since he had "sponsorship obligations". I think it's reasonable to assume that if he really did care about his fans, he wouldn't have made the video when he noticed that he couldn't see colors when wearing the glasses. The company in question has since been investigated (by another youtuber - Megalag) and from the investigation there doesn't seem to be much reason to believe that the glasses actually ever have - or will work. Considering Logan Paul seems to be using Coffeezilla calling him a "serial scammer" as an argument of defamation, I think it could be wise to investigate, and also bring to light what happened here. Since depending on the findings of what happened in this case - it could be argued that Logan Paul, knowingly and willingly, scammed his own fans for profits. Considering the manner in which he looked back on what happened in his podcast I'd even go as far as to say he doesn't seem to have much remorse for what he did back then.

I mean. If it were me, I was Logan Paul, I would, at the very least, finish the alleged game that I was promoting and make robust repayments to the investors before I launch a defamation suit against someone calling me a scammer. But that's just me.
