During a Senate hearing, Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe Jr. testified that he "cannot defend" the security lapses surrounding the building a shooter used to target former President Donald Trump near a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Rowe used images of the building's roof to depict what he recalls from inspecting the site. "What I saw made me ashamed," Rowe told senators on Capitol Hill.

What about all the civilians pointing and shouting that there was a man with a gun on that roof?

The thing I find interesting is how the local law enforcement says they were suppose to meet with the secret service but secret service never showed up.

Every local law enforcement agency that was there have alreadyvstated in their reports that no secret service agent ever made contact with them until after the assassination attempt.

Ronald Rowe shouldn’t be in charge. He’s clearly not qualified to “imagine” what could go wrong. His answers are pathetic.

Trying to defend the indefensible. Why is this guy so angry? The messed up. They should own it.

The agent in charge of the advance team should be sitting there, not a desk jockey with a title.

Cheatle did women everywhere a great disservice who strive to attain positions like this.

It is the Secret Service's job to protect him. If local law enforcement or Secret Service didn't have the means to protect the closest building, then Trump should not have had the rally there. The closest buildings should obviously be within the Secret Service's perimiter. There weren't many buildings around.

Sen Peters said it is vulnerable if the secret service relies on local assets. Well said. Of course, somebody was involved inside. Otherwise, they would've checked the shooter on their first sight.

How does Klo know the government wasn’t involved? She doesn’t know that.

You're trying cover up your mistakes, you should be prosecuted, for neglect of duty!
