Jack Gleeson did such a great job making us hate Joffrey. He really is quite an accomplished actor. Joffrey just oozed evil and Jack made that happen. That's talent.

Even Tywin was taken aback by Joffrey destroying that book. Not surprising though, since he also values wisdom as an important trait all kings and queens should possess.

love how Tywin recoils and Cersei just sits there stoicly. she absolutely knew he'd do this. Not that Joffrey told her but that she knew when he got his hands on that sword he'd swing it at the nearest thing he didnt care about.

This is extra horrible when you realize how long it takes to make a book in medieval times, especially one that thick.

Tywin beamed at Tyrion's wisdom for giving Joffery that book. Tywin even half smiled, a rare sight... and Joffery destroyed it.

Joffery... he never failed to embarrass himself and disappoint his family.

Shoot, at least his name was Baratheon and not Lannister. The one thing he did right.

Fun fact: That was one of four original copies of that book. One of the others is kept protected in the Citadel under lock and key. It’s quite impressive that Tyrion acquired one.
There are now 3 copies.

I generally believe that Joffrey was going to read the book tryion gave him but as soon as he got his sword, the desire for wisdom was immediately ignored in order to test his sword

I actually thought Joffrey was learning to control himself until I saw him slice that book like a fresh pie. Words cannot describe my relief after the wedding
