Our end of year 8th grade homeschool curriculum review! This homeschool mom and homeschool teenager are going to share our honest thoughts about the homeschool curriculum that we completed for the second semester of our homeschool year. The homeschool curriculum mentioned is from Compass Classroom, Shormann math, The Good and the Beautiful, and Teachers Pay Teachers. Homeschooling Middle school was a success!

We tried Shormann's Algebra 1 course and were very disappointed. The lectures were very long, unengaging, and were inadequate for the problem set that followed. They also have an "absolutely no refunds" policy.

Hi! Just discovered your channel and you are awesome! I have a15 yr old son, who will be in 10th grade and a 13 yr old daughter who will be in 8th grade. I started homeschooling when my son started 1st grade. I had taught first grade for 18 years prior to my daughter being born. The Lord laid it upon our hearts to homeschool after my son had a difficult time in Kindergarten. We've not looked back and can't believe we will start our 10th year of homeschooling this fall.

I say curriculums need to work for the children but we mainly use open and go curriculum so they work for us!!! It’s awesome that ur son learnt other stuff while writing. That’s why we love TGTB. A state study sounds awesome!!!

I'm curious about Shormann Math, and have some questions. I saw in a review that you are able to redo quizzes assignments but your grade won't change? We have been using TT and it's worked great up until these upper levels. I'm a little worried about the transition from TT to Shormann and if things will be explained well. We are also in Japan and on a completely different time so I'm not sure if that will affect any extra help that is offered.

A huge warning for anyone interested in trying Shoremann math. They do NOT do refunds or offer free trials. Absolutely no grace period.
