Smart not to let people know you have a smart lock one less thing to worry about

Those Kwikset Locks are the best, I have 2 of them, all Zigbee, battery lasts a while, yeah it can be a little slow, but they have worked flawlessly for years now.

Out of curiosity, does the wisest lock allow adding/removing codes on the fly? Like adding a temporary code for a neighbor letting the dog out or something?

I love this video. I was seriously looking at getting this. I’m going to checkout the Kwikset. I didn’t want to invest in another hub. Locks might not get picked that often but I don’t know if I would want to risk all the property in my home on that.

I think this is really a device for renters. Make sure you put the old lock parts into a bag for when you move to ensure you get your deposit back. For anyone not renting I think there are way better options.

is it mandatory to use NFC sticker to open the lock with Samsung smartwatch o you can open directly by bluetooth?

A "$mart" deadbolt means either leaving the door unlocked or adding another "$mart" lock to the scheme. 🤷
How well does it handle misalignment? Seems to be a thing in these parts. 😔

Now this kind of smart lock I could see myself using. Optional keypad that doesn't replace my normal keyhole? Yes please! I've been eyeing SwitchBot's products as a potential upgrade for automating our blinds as well, now I need to add this to that list...

edit: wait, this doesn't natively have HA/zigbee/zwave/matter/etc support? well nevermind then!
edit 2: That kwikset lock looks interesting though. Keypad, but the keyhole is still available. Though not a fan of the mushy buttons.
