Not sure I can make this trip but I’m checking into it. I’ve been to Oaxaca several times and it is a beautiful city. Monte Alban and Mitla are great sites to visit. I would highly recommend the Museo Rufino Tamayo. It’s a small museum in the centre of the city and they have a great collection of artifacts from all regions and periods of Mexican history. And it’s pretty inexpensive too. I’d also recommend visiting some of the fine art print studios in Oaxaca. There are some amazing artists there and prints are very easy to transport back home. One of my favourite studios was the Marxist print studio. It’s all part of the fascinating variety of Oaxaca.

I live in Mexico City and have family and friends in Oaxaca City.

I would love to join but I’m not too interested in the hotel or some tourist attractions.

It would also be amazing if some local scholars join as well so we can share different perspectives and recent discoveries together.
