Angry Seal Caught in Ziploc Bag

preview_player
Показать описание
Ziploc bags are often considered environmentally friendly because they are reusable and recyclable. But this eco-friendly image depends on how Ziploc bags are used and disposed of! In this case, the zip part of a bag ended up in the ocean, around a seal's neck, strong enough to eventually injure, starve, or choke the animal to death. The missing part of the bag might still be drifting in the ocean, where it eventually breaks down and turns into microplastics. If plastic bags are used as single-use items and not recycled properly, they will have a negative impact on the environment and wildlife.

Well done, Naude! Teaching the next generation to rescue seals. How great is that?! Now more seals can be saved. That makes me so happy!❤❤

Nice to see them so laid back enjoying their day, puppy had plenty of spirit trying to escape from Dylan, now she can go back to her sleep free from the rubbish. Thankyou OCN .🤗💝🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I love that you guys are teaching younger rescuers to keep the mission going for decades to come. Sadly, it will probably be needed.

That whole colony was angry instead of scared. "We're just trying to relax!" Good work Dylan and Naude!

Great save guys! That big Bull looked like he was going to be a problem defending his flock. Hopefully the bystanders on the walkway can learn, and spread the word about this situation with rubbish harming these beautiful Seals!

😮Jumping off the boardwalk was a challenge, because of those feisty seals down there. Great teamwork by dad & son, thanks Naude and Dylan!🙏💕🦭

They are so used to tourists at cape cross you could almost walk up to them to pet them. Not that i would recommend it. Their teeth are a force to be reckoned with. Well done to the Dreyers!
