Drawing The Dark Knight: Jim Lee Draws Batman

This video showcases comic book legend and DC Comics co-publisher Jim Lee drawing perhaps his signature character, Batman. Jim walks us through his process of bringing Gotham's brooding detective to life on paper, from the first step of the pencilling process to the finished inks. "The drawing tells you where it wants to go and when it wants to be done" That is possibly the hardest thing for any artist. Knowing when your piece is finished, and if it isn't, what it might need. Separating what you believe something should look like vs what it could look like to help the piece is a challenge.
