I enjoy finding wheatback pennies and silver coins. One day, a customer paid for his meal in the exact amount. I automatically knew it was a great moment for me. Having handled money over several decades I knew I had a treasure without looking, but by the weight in my hand. I pulled a quarter out of my pocket and exchanged it for the one the customer gave me. I got a silver quarter, and the meal was paid for. Once as a customer, I was given change back. Amongst my change was a Winged Liberty dime. What I have may not be big sellers like in the video, but they are worth more than face value.

All these videos will keep you insane looking for a needle in the haystack. Coin shops don't even look for errors.

Great video as always Couch! As for those watching if you do find a nickel with misplaced mint mark i wouldnt expect a $1, 000 return if sold. The nickel in the beginning of the video that sold for $1, 000 for misplaced mint mark is mostly because it was a part of the Fred Weinberg collection that on its own gives it a lot of value. Always remember no matter what you think you have condition means everything. It will determine 99% of the value of your coin 99% of the time. 😊 Good luck everyone i wish you well and good fortune.

I appreciate your videos that actually convey knowledge as most on YouTube are so ridiculous on the values and misinformation .

I'll stick with 1964 and older silver quarters, dimes, half dollars and dollar coins. 90% silver baby! I tried that rare numismatic routine, lost patience with it and concluded that all the "good sruff" was taken. Just my take.

The 71-72 nicks have mm as well. Thanks Justin. EIEI OH MY MY!! 👌👍🏴‍☠️🇺🇸 oh chit, I have a 1955 penny that might have been struck on the wrong planchet. Now I need to track it down and weigh it. I'll let you know. It's a odd error. Part of the edge is thicker towards the reverse of the penny...👍

Love watching your channel. One thing I think about when considering coin sold value is cost of grading service and shipping. So grading at pcgs is around $40 without variety consideration. Then shipping cost. So a coin selling for $30 on eBay minus thier 10%, grading cost and shipping cost don't think there is any room for profit. Just saying

Makes me wonder about those times in the arcade when a quarter would get rejected constantly...

Dealers HATE channels like this. They end up with hordes of people running in with their pocket change looking for thousands of dollars!

So you sell a coin for $25, $40 or $60, how much does it cost to have it certified?

Hi Justin. Just wanted to thank you for your informative video, it perked my interest. I'm not a coin collector, but I do have a small amount of family coins from decades past. I decided to re-examine to see if I had anything of worth. Low and behold in cache of 31 Indian Head Pennies, I ran across one 1862 cent that was much thicker and exhibits a die break, But the really unusual thing is it looks like the coin was made on a silver not a copper planchette. Your thoughts and comments would be helpful.. You never can tell what you might run across. Thank you again for jogging my interest in coins.

Hi couch, I have a question for you. I got a digital microscope and the place you put your coins on under the scope is metal. what would you recommend putting on that so the coins won't get scratched? Thank you for your time
