Seeing Vegeta hesitate to kill Buu and Hercule just shows how much he’s developed as a character. If this was Saiyan Saga, Frieza Saga, or Cell Saga Vegeta, he definitely would’ve killed them right away without hesitating. But Vegeta finally realizes how selfish he’s been throughout the entire series and finally starts to act less of a dick. It was the moment where his sacrifice against Buu led to Vegeta’s change

Hercules loyalty to buu gets me everytime, I always say that this relationship is the heart of this saga and they are equally responsible for saving the universe

Vegeta’s character development and Goku’s mercy are amazing in this scene, but my favorite part is Hercule. He might be a bit of a coward, and a bit of a phony, but he cares. He was willing to die so that he could save his friend.

I love the friendship Mr. Satan and Buu developed. I always thought Mr.Satan was a goofy character who was completely selfish, but he’s really a nice guy at heart.

I like to think that Vegeta was not buying the "he was bad but he is good now" argument because that was basically *his* situation at the start of the saga and we all know how that went down, so he doesn't trust Buu to actually be better than him at avoiding relapse

I also love the foreshadowing of Elder Kai saying “yes just wish it away” it sets up GT premise perfectly of over using the Dragonballs which Goku is 100% responsible for

Old Vegeta would've killed him without a single hesitation and Hercule would never risk his life like this. Lots kf growth for both.
