Millennials - a word of ridicule and scorn. Even we hate to be called that. Boomers and GenXrs like Simon Sinek call us job hoppers enamored with the word ‘impact’. I say they’re applying values from a century that’s long gone to a new one they don’t quite understand.
We’re drowning in debt and technology is about to wipe out 40% of our current jobs anyway. Stability and tenure were commodities in the 20th century. They’re worthless now. The 21st century is for adaptable people with a basket of eclectic skills
who are serene in the face of unexpected change.
