About Gold Shaw Farm: Gold Shaw Farm is more of a farm-in-progress than an honest-to-goodness farm. We dream that someday we can transform our 150+ acre parcel of land into a regenerative and productive homestead and farm.

I really love this video, Morgan. You not talking, so we just listen to the sounds of the farm; the chickens crowing, the ducks quacking, your footsteps in the snow; the geese trying to take a bath in the small running water. It feels so peaceful. Also, hello to your dogs and cats. They really love you; Toby in his quiet ways, Abby with her boisterousness, and Ginny with her jumping up on your shoulders. It is a beautiful farm life you have there. Thank you for sharing it with us & get well soon.

Loved that "Natural sounds of the farm" format. It had a true "Zen" feeling to it. Get well soon :)

The "silent" video was great. Really could hear the sounds of the animals. Love to hear your comments of course :)

Amazing how different your setup is now compared to when you were pulling sledges of water to the birds a few years ago.

There are no sick days when you're a farmer. Sorry, you're sick Morgan. 🤒🤧🤮Get well soon. 💕 I actually enjoyed the quiet video, you get to hear the farm noises better. It was relaxing to me. Miss Abigail was a true lady jumping that stream. She didn't want to get her feet wet. 😉

Love the ASMR style in the beginning! It's nice hearing the crunch of snow and ducks quaking in the background. I hope you feel better soon, Morgan!

I really enjoyed the quietness. It was nice to hear the sounds of the farm. You ought to make more of these; especially in the winter. Cozy ❤

I enjoy the daily Morgan talks but this was relaxing and therapeutic to listen to the animal and snow sounds.

This is just a stunning example of farm life in winter. 500 years ago when I was boy 'ehem' I lived on a farm similar to this in Western Canada. The sites, the sounds and even the dogs brought me back. I even remember the smells... is that weird?
They can have their office towers and condo buildings and the rush rush of the city, I'd take farm life any day. (probably why I sub to this channel)

Morgan - Yesterday I answered an email from an arborist who plans and supervises the fertilizing, pruning, defending against caterpillars, etc etc for our yard. He works for a company that provides these services in our area. He emailed me to thank me for agreeing to and paying for what he recommends for this year, and asked if there might be some services that he do this winter?

The company has worked for us a long long time - over 30 years; I’ve known this man for perhaps 15 or 20 of those years.

I’m mentioning this because I couldn’t help but think of you and my your channel, all the people you affect.

I appreciate his thoughtful approach because having our small yard be pretty and healthy and inviting to me is very important.

Because of everything you show us and your telling us how you conceive of your farm as creating and nurturing an ecosystem at GoldShaw Farm, I realized Morgan - that I were to this similarly I can think of my home and my landscape being an ecosystem.

After all, we’ve raised our children here, shared our home for 25 summers with my husband’s parents, cared for pets, planted and grew shrubs and flowers. It’s that whole circle of life stuff Morgan. We’ve created an ecosystem.

Thirty years ago I phoned this business to learn if they might be able to help us keep the large elm tree that shades the front of our house alive.

People Pets Plants Trees

My house is an older one in a of a « circle «  of homes built in the mid ‘40’s.

The land for our of houses was owned by one family and they had a chicken farm, the name of our street. My arborist is helping nurture my ecosystem.

You are nurturing our lives, too, through what you do - clearly.

Thank you for what you do, Morgan. ❤

It's funny how animals can sense when your under the weather or just not in the mood, especially dogs! Gotta love how much they dedicate themselves towards owners! Get well soon Morgan! Always a pleasure to watch your videos.

I do love hearing you talk (as your enthusiasm is genuinely a force for good) but I also wanted to say how much I enjoyed sharing this peaceful time. I hope you can include more videos like this for the other seasons! Also I would absolutely have a quack house audio track on as background noise while I work, I adore the noises of the birds as they fuss and squabble. Feel better soon!

This was lovely.
I couldn’t decide if this is normally how quietly you go about your chores and we just don’t see it, or if you were being especially peaceful so we could hear all the other sounds
