This video just popped up. My father grew up on a general type farm in Erie County, PA. Included were 15 head of red durham (I believe that was the breed) milk cows. However, he opted for college and worked his way through Penn State graduating with an EE degree. I once asked why he didn't remain on the farm and he replied "Too much work."

Don't miss milking twice a day, , we run a beef farm now, have done for 20 years, , we did dairy for 50 odd years, , Beef farming showed us how much time we actually devoted to milking twice a day, , Crazy... Really Really great video tho...
