I've been in Dallas for 13 years now, the eye is actually the result of a dispute between the property owner and the city over permits. They wanted to make it a business or something but the city refused to grant any permits so they "got back" at the city by placing the eye there as an eyesore to troll the city.

This is such a good channel. As someone who is a father, but doesn’t have a relationship with my own, I really appreciate the “Pops” and son time. Can’t get much better than that. I just keep thinking of how happy your dad must be being able to do thus with you

The red Pegasus horse statue looks like the old symbol for Mobil oil. Which makes sense considering how much oil is part of the Texas economy. Always fun seeing you and your pops having adventures together. Thanks for posting

I was also in the 2nd grade at Waxahachie ISD during the JFK assassination. We were all brought to a particular teacher's classroom as a large group and our school principal announced it over the intercom. We were soon loaded on our busses to go home where we watched everything on TV. Even at seven years old I remember the surreal feelings of national trauma. It didn't matter what age you were - we were all feeling the same thing.

We did 24hrs in Dallas back in 2017. Stayed at the OMNI and did the 6th Floor Museum. I gotta say that Dealey Plaza did have a really strange vibe about it. Kinda like a time capsule.

The aquarium was a really fun spot! I recommend it if you decide to go back!

Let Pops know we got a giggle out of him at the cattle drive - I would have done the same to entertain my kids 😊

I always enjoy your travelogs. They are so interesting, well thought out, and/or researched... I enjoy the food excursions, as well.🌞👏🎉 I was a young, school child, at the time of the assassination, too. My experiences absolutely mirrored your Dad's. I can recall that time vividly.❤️‍🩹😔

You covered many interesting places. Dallas has a LOT to see so you could not have possibly covered it in that length of time. Dallas also has some of the best variety of amazing restaurants in Texas. (It ranks pretty high in national rankings that I’ve read.) A couple more places that I love there are the Dallas Arboretum and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.

You have the best Dad. All the places your Dad and you have gone is a beautiful story to tell. I really enjoy your videos, because of your dad and the scenery you show us.

I was just in Dallas for a family wedding that was held at the art museum. I didn’t get to see much while there but what I saw intrigued me and I’d love to go back and see more. We also went to the Dealey Plaza and it was fascinating. Looking forward to seeing more Texas videos!

I was in 8th grade home ec.class. They made an intercom announcement and all you could hear was crying. President Kennedy was so loved.
