It seems a lot more efficient and effective than liquid disinfectants which take too much time to work.

Thank you for sharing this with your subscribers. I read about the Columbia University 2018 study a couple of months ago, and was glad to hear that they are still continuing to move forward with their testing of deactivating coronaviruses. Wouldn't it be great for people to feel safer being at work, school and in public spaces, if the far UVC lights can be successfully proven to deactivate viruses also in large open areas.

Hi Doctor. I have a few questions that are a bit too long for this post. Is there anyway I can contact you and present my questions in e-mail or facebook?

My son works for Skytron (you being a doctor may heard of Skytron) has a device that you put in a room and after it analyzes the room use uv to kill all germs and viruses in the room. It is on Skytron’s website.

I have a question. Back in Late November of 2019 I was sick with an upper respiratory infection. I had chills, fevers, running noses, coughs, and horrible body aches. Is it possible that I had the coronavirus?

you can put standard UV inside the intake of an air conditioning behind air filter .. light will be in the square tunnel but it is a dumb idea since by the time air gets there it has already contaminated the people then it is sterilized. so not coughing or blocking it is the key the light will slow the spread only .

Is it possible to have ultraviolet rays irradiated inside a box with fans pumping air into and out of the box?
Contaminated air is sucked into the box from one side, sterilized by the UV rays, then blown out from the other side of the box.
The advantage are:
1. people can safely be in the same room with the box without the risk of being exposed to harmful ultraviolet light.
2. you can use the air-conditioner normally without worrying about temperature or circulation of air.
3. you can safely be in the room without the risk of getting infected by COVID-19 or other airborne viruses.
The air inside the room is constantly sterilized by the box.
The box should be small, preferably portable.
Such a box does not sterilize surfaces, only the air inside a room. Surfaces should be sterilized normally with desinfectant and cloth.
Right now there is no way to safely sterilize the air inside a room. You have to open the windows to ensure good circulation of air. But during the winter and summer you need to close the windows and use the air-conditioner to have an ameniable temperature inside the room.
Most air-conditioners simply recirculate the existing air inside the room, instead of pumping clean air from outdoors.
If someone in the room is infected and shedding viruses into the air, the air gets more and more contaminated.
But a UV box that sterilizes the air while allowing the presence of people and the use of air-conditioner could be the solution.

I have read about using activated carbon powder in making face masks, so that the mask is more effective against the corona virus. However, I have never seen YT videos on face mask making, where people use activated carbon powder. My question is - would using activated carbon powder when making a face mask for the corona virus, really improve the effectiveness of the face mask?

So why is it not being used? I have a UVC light.

Please elaborate on what you mean by "large spaces". Are "large spaces" halls in shopping centres, stadiums, schools, and the like? Or large rooms, like trauma care rooms and operating theatres? And how big is the light source? Stadium floodlight size? Bigger? More focused like movie set lights? Thanks. Marc

This was a great video. I would like to make a suggestion for the doctor though. There was a tuberculosis sanatorium in Whitehaven Pennsylvania. They used to draw about 6 ounces of blood, irradiate it with UVC, and re-infuse it in a saline solution. Then anabiotic’s came in and they stop doing research on UVC blood or radiation. Today in the 21st-century you can find devices on eBay that do it intravenously. Go to eBay and search, “Solaris 450 nm“. That is the device. I believe it would have to be tweaked to 222 nm, so as not to give the blood vessels a sunburn.😂 I am not a clinician, I am just relating history. We’ve use this for 100 years, and they’re using it for hepatitis C, T-cell lymphoma, etc. Just some food for thought. What’s really great about this UVC is, it doesn’t matter if the virus mutates. It destroys the RNA so it cannot replicate.
If the medical community could get together to ask the president to speed up the FDA approval of this, it would be great. It needs to installed as soon as possible in nursing homes, supermarkets, stadiums, airports etc. We cannot keep on shutting down a $22 million economy. This is insanity, it’s not social distancing, we’re on lockdown in our own homes.

We need LED farUVC so light bulbs and screens can do desinfectante. That will means any light or phone can do it.

222 nanometer wavelength UV kills pathogens and is safe for humans. The 254 nanometer UV-C commonly used works, but can cause skin cancer and will cause eye damage.

I am very uneasy with hearing videos like this about UV-C without hearing any mention of danger. It seems to me a wavelength just 30 away is dangerous. I would think mention of energy density and distance is also imperative.
