In 2009 and 2010 the polycarbonate white Unibody MacBook was Apple's budget MacBook, and it was hugely popular. But how does the 2010 white MacBook hold up 10 years later? In this video we'll see how well the MacBook performs and see if you can use it in 2020!

Just a little tip: Changing the color profile to "apple rgb" really improves the look of the display. Might just be me, but the default "color lcd" option has a bad looking yellow-green tint to it.

My sister have this old white polycarbonate Macbook while I have the 2010 aluminum unibody Macbook Pro and i can tell you both are still usable and great!!!
Here's why:
1. We upgraded the storage system using SSD Kingmax 480GB
2. We also inserted these two slots of RAM using 4GB RAM each, so it now has 8GB of RAM.
3. Traded the battery with the new one since mine was too old to use and the cycle count had reached 4000 cycles.
4. Had updated the OS to High Sierra so both could run pretty well.

And there they go. The super-fancy old Macbook with a super specification.

Had mine for almost 8 years now, maxed out RAM and added an SSD and STILL using it. Graphics strain under today’s internet at times but this laptop is still a pleasure to use.

I bought one of these for $50 last august. Added a 256gb SSD and 8gb of ram and upped it to Mojave. I actually love taking it to coffee shops and using it. Very functional and zippy. Also love the classic mac look. I have considered selling it (just because) but can't seem to bring myself to part with it.

I LOVED the design and still love the design of the polycarbonate macbook, all white is just awesome, materials is just nice to touch and look at as well
