I’m Ryan Johnson. I run the Youtube channel Intermittent Fasting with Ryan. I have struggled with my weight my entire life and have followed many yo-yo diet plans and lost weight, only to put it back on. In 2020 I committed to a slow and steady approach with intermittent fasting and have lost the weight and kept it off. I’m Just a regular guy trying to get off of yo-yo diets. Follow me as I cover my journey and my experience with intermittent fasting. I’m no expert. Just trying to figure this stuff out and love sharing the journey.

I messed up my fast two days in a row.. really working on not beating myself up over it. I’ve been doing great for 2 months and I know tomorrow is a new day.. thanks for sharing your off days too ♥️

Love a realistic cheat d video because everyone has them and setting yourself up for everyday to be "perfect" is going to end in failure.

Honestly I burn around 2000-2500 calories while doing absolutely nothing all day I was 320 at the start of this school year and until a few months ago I found your videos im 290 now and its all because of you man thank you

Well said. I literally eat whatever I want and I make up for it by fasting the rest of the time. It’s a great balance where I don’t have to change my diet and still maintain weight

Dude I love your cheat day. Thank you for sharing. I don't have cheat days following my animal-based. As it makes me spiral. But I greatly appreciate you sharing and showing how enjoyable it actually is I almost got to live vicariously through you here.

After following a bodybuilding diet that made me miserable, I started IF… before it was cool… because I like big meals and do not like to force myself to eat until later in the day…
I can maintain a more balance life and stay fit all year round.
Try adding HIIT cardio… it will amp up the weight loss! I have abs and I never thought I could have abs
I will do HIIT sprints on the treadmill on incline 10… alternate walking 1 minute and sprinting 1 minute
You will burn way more calories than steady state and the time goes by super fast… you will be drenched in sweat!

I think what I’ve found in my recovery is that I don’t do “cheat days”. There’s no such thing as a “cheat day”. Every day I fuel my body and one day it might be salad and chicken and rice and fruit and one day it might be pizza and cake and chicken tenders. Either way my body and mind are content and it doesn’t put pressure on me to “get back on track”. Then when I think about “cheat days”, I associate those foods as being bad or unhealthy when everything in moderation, all the time, is fine and even healthy.

I gotta get back on the IF diet. Used to do it religiously and loved it. Also lost a lot of weight. That burger and fries looks so damn good.
