With a friend group that big and how extensive their reach is in every genre of streaming, it's not surprising that some of them just grow apart. People come and go. Amigops, the 1st OTV Rust era, Among Us, The Raft squad etc... it was good times, but it's in the past.

The reality of growing up. Cherish the moment like there is no tomorrow.

I get into a problem when i play games with friends. I start to only like it when im playing it with them to where its not the same playing it by myself. We could start playing a new game, but when one person stops playing it, we all stop. It made me felt more burnt out where i would just do nothing since no games seem fun anymore. I would try to play those games again but just can't.

Other than that, having different schedules does mess up times we can play together.

When you’re in a group, it’s inevitable that everyone thinks about these hangouts unequally. Some are there for the ride for however long it’ll last and for some it’s just the last of their priorities. That’s why online friendships are hard to build and cultivate over time. There needs to be more than a computer screen and keyboard to hold us together. It’s all a fleeting moment

I think a big part too is it was easy to organise gaming sessions during lockdown because there was nothing else to do but stream/game all day every day. Now everyone has multiple things going on many of which require travel, leaving the house or just take time away from gaming/streaming. And even when they can still stream a lot, schedules don’t align especially as you add more and more people/schedules.

I feel that hard, I've had so many groups I gamed with fizzle out cause people start off always being around so its great then stuff in life happens and they slowly become less and less available until it becomes hard to even keep the group together. I get frustrated every time it happens since it was fun while it happened that I want to hold on to it as long as I can but it just slips away leaving me to find a new group, obviously I still try to keep tabs incase they ever want to play again but after a while it hurts to keep asking if they want to play games and either they have plans (which I know isn't something that would prevent them from playing but I respect it anyways) or they dodge the ask entirely opting to steer the conversation to something else.

It sucks to put in the effort and slowly it gets reciprocated less and less. Literally having it happen to my current gaming group where we were pretty consistent each day then slowly it became every other day, then weekends now I don't know if I can get the full group on at any point all cause slowly IRL stuff has been taking more precedence in their time, like I'm losing to youtube/shows with some of them which is fine if theres a good series or something but its that whole I can't understand why you'd opt for that over hanging out with friends point for me, like for me gaming with some friends trumps some of the reasons I've gotten lately since it should be objectively more fun to do and I at least think everyone has a good time when we did play and no one ghosts me in DMs, though it does feel like I'm the one typically initiating the conversation.

I'm really just venting at this point.

Honestly, it’s HARD to want to play games that much. I’m just a normal dude, and I find myself staring at my computer some days going “you know what, I really don’t want to”

I can’t imagine having to tell yourself to ply them everyday. Would I still take it over my current job? In a heartbeat, but I’m just saying it’s understandable where people might not feel like playing together if they’re just tired of games and stuff in general because it’s become their main thing.

C'est la vie. You grow, as well as your priorities

Yeah it's kinda a real ass thing in diverse groups of people, they all get busy doing their own thing

not a matter of fame, life just keeps you busy and priorities shift.

I Really hope the AMIGOPS can get a lobby to play any game, , but obviously love the AMONGUS era, but anything at this point will be fine.😢

It's the same in other creator groups and those that can still get a lobby going feel like coworkers and not friends, it's strictly business

I get what he means. In the end their full time job is streaming so seeing them having no time to stream together when streaming should be their main occupation you wonder when it shifted.

yeah it happens :( my friends and i used to play coop on so many games but once we started getting jobs we stopped playing altogether (or keeping 1-2 games we can play by ourselves) and just catch up over dinner sometimes
