Everyone clowning Fischer when he said something like that. Look who's right

This is basically Bobby Fischer's conclusion decades ago, and why he invented Fischer 960 so chess stays fresh (or at least make it much less practical to memorise in the current time)

Fisher said this decades ago, and the computers weren’t where they are now. Now it’s a memorization game and whoever memorizes more wins .

Chess from a battle of intelligence is now simply a battle of memory

Bobby fischer also said he hated chess because it was becoming a memorising game rather than a tactical or strategic game

The natural cycle of all competitive games, you keep optimizing until you suck out all the fun out of it.

This is basically any game, eventually you find the best strategy. Chess, memorization, basketball, be tall.

All things evolve, die or change to something unrecognizable. That is reality.

This is really interesting. It's mirroring how generations tend to dislike the new perspectives.

Oh don’t tell me Magnus is becoming Bobby Fisher

Like a certain white-haired girl from a particular anime said: "Chess is just tic-tac-toe."

chess has always been a memorization game, all you have to do is remember several thousand board states. Its simple really.

Chess is made for players who dont obsess over it. Its suppose to be on the spot strategies, not learning from machinea to figure out meta moves

Todays day we are having more players becoming more like an A.I CPU rather than a superior and art players with skills

Yup, I realized this back in highschool. Since then I’ve switched to shogi. Much more dynamic

I don't even play chess that much and i got the same feeling. It's a real shame what we're doing to our society. No humanity, art. All machines.
