Just came here from watching Searching For Bobby Fischer, so I by no means have a lot of knowledge about chess. This came up in my search results for cast interviews.

If Fischer was as laser-focused and obsessed as some of the others I saw in the film, I can see why he would have a hard time just living a normal life. People need a variety of activities and a variety of friends. Monotony and not getting exposed to different viewpoints and ideas can drive you nuts. Thats the beauty in having multiple hobbies, taking vacations, and having a bunch of different friends😌
