Sister, you're a Latina.
Don't let anybody else tell you otherwise.

Anyone criticizing your look hasn't traveled in Latin America. There are all kinds of people there. It's a stereotype that all Latinas look a certain way

Being mixed does not mean you have to only embrace 50% of each culture. It means you get to embrace 100% of both cultures. You keep doing you, stuff the haters!!

It’s hard being mixed, especially when you identify more with one culture than another. Be who you are. No matter what that means for you. Just be happy.

Nice to see this girl embrace her Mexican heritage. And the content she creates from it is fun.
To those who "get it" you're not being forced to watch the content.

That's such an American thing to say, here in Brazil we know ethnicity isn't necessarily about the place of birth. It's about heritage and connection.

As a Latina raised by her white mom, you are an inspiration to me to continue reaching for and connecting with my roots and my Mexican culture. Thanks for continuing to post and share.

My coworker is half Mexican and half Irish. And she gets the same thing. People come in all shapes and forms. Be who you are and don't let others Burger you. The ones who matter will sorry you the entire way.

If they're giving you crap for misspeaking your second language, ask them how often they misspeak their first language

Ana, you're a Latina! I was born and raised in Mexico City and, because I'm a redhead, people have always told me "I don't look Mexican" so I love that you're showing everyone that Mexicans and Latino people can look the way you do and that doesn't make you less Latina

As a white passing half-Chinese woman who gets mistaken for Latina all the time and questioned when I try to "prove my Asian-ness", I'm here with ya, sister. The mixed experience of feeling like you're standing at the threshold of two cultures or like you need to prove you're X or Y isn't talked about enough and you've nailed it on the head.

Same shit that kids go through when they have one black parent and one white parent. You are who YOU are. ❤

I’m Afro Latina and I love it. Latino is not a race, it’s an ethnic group, we all look different. And we are all valid and beautiful.

Update: Soy Dominicana.

As a Latina, I agree. Our culture is very rich and you literally can’t miss it, it’s everywhere you look in Latin American countries. And if you’re Mexican, you damn well deserve to embrace your culture

Ana, you're making a 29-year old half-Mexican man cry in his car at lunchtime. Born in the US, English is my first language, and Spanish is so hard for me get. Despite that, my dad always made me feel proud for having Mexican heritage and I wouldn't trade it for anything 🇲🇽

My daughter is 1/2 Latina, and as an American woman, I love watching you. I want my daughter to grow up with your confidence and the courage to keep practicing! We go to Mexico for his family, and his parents speak mostly Spanish, and I am trying so hard to learn Spanish. You inspire me to keep trying!! ❤
