Seeing the 100t ratchet not let loose at almost 200 ft lbs of torque was making me consider asking our snapon dealer about one. But then you showed the pins. Similar to you, I love my dual 80, but I have the long handle comfort grip, like the locking one you showed last video. It's been well lubricated from just about any kind of automotive oils imagineable and is super smooth because of it.

i feel like they put a smaller screw in exactly for the reason that the screw will bend instead of the ratchet joint. its a safety feature built in. Less warranty for snap-on because that screw ill cost alot less than replacing the whole ratchet. the backdrag is a different story. ive had both my 100 tooth slip multiple times but ive heard they have a new designed repair kit that i would like to get and see if that makes the backdrag and slipping improve.

I’ve felt the new dual 100’s in person and the rough crunchy back drag is what kills it for me. I’ll stick to the tried and true dual 80’s.

Would have loved to see the teardown on the 100 tooth to see if it was in working condition as the 80 was in.

Almost 200 ft lbs on the 100th and only 96 on the 80.. big difference. Have a dual 80 and two of the new cynergy 100th, the 100th does have a smaller head, but through tride and true testing of things that the ratchet is actually meant for, they are almost equivalent. The 100th is just smoother and grabs a little sooner due to the extra teeth.

The dual 100 is a shallow design no comparison between them two .. shallow design less torque but gets the job done in tight spaces

The smaller screw is a designed failure point in my opinion. I have one on back order.

Hard pass on the Pittsburgh knockoffs. Take off the square Edge, a steel selector maybe make them a millimeter thinner you would have won, Gen 2 duel 80. I felt them in person and they suck don't push the button in the center they'll neutral out

Ratchets aren't intended for high torques...
