answer for the first question is 11x+5. when we multiply it becomes 6x+15+5x-10

TGMT, can I just say a huge thank you for all of your videos as someone who went from borderline 8s to nearly full marks on all of my mocks (it may just be one grade but for me it made the biggest difference). I was in bottom set at school and capped at a C grade achiving 75 marks on my foundation paper 😢 and this higher paper looks easier its worded a bit more difficultly but i feel i would have pass the higher paper

I tried very hard in maths but just sucked at it i would love to learn it again

Your first mathmatis is wrong need to fix it. Correction is here - To expand and simplify the expression 3(2x+5) + 5(x-2), follow these steps:

Distribute the constants outside the parentheses to the terms inside the parentheses:

3 * 2x + 3 * 5 + 5 * x - 5 * 2

Perform the multiplications:

6x + 15 + 5x - 10

Combine like terms:

(6x + 5x) + (15 - 10)

Add the coefficients of the like terms:

11x + 5

So, the simplified form of the expression 3(2x+5) + 5(x-2) is 11x + 5.
