Pilots eject before plane crashes

A plane crashed during the Thunder Over Michigan air show. The two people inside that ejected from the jet were left with no significant injuries. #cnn #news

I am very glad to hear that. The two pilots escaped we’re not injured, but sometimes these air shows are just not safe for people in the ground. There was an error showing near where I live some years ago, and the pilots ejected from a plane which hit one of the buildings at a fairground and caught it on fire people could’ve been killed. But thank goodness that was in the building all escaped unharmed. There has never been another airshow in that area.

Being ejected has a high rate of serious injury but is better than the alternative.

This is an F-111 aardvark, so the whole cabin should eject instead of the 2 pilots separately

The puff was the jets from the ejection system for the pilots.

Engine out...! Poor maintenance or bad spare parts. Normally the Mig-23 engine is more reliable than the TF-30 of an F-14A for example at high AoA and Beta angles, so I doubt that the pilots have mishandled the engine and it quit.
