I've never owned anything, but my uncles had dirt bikes, quads, three wheelers you name it. I have only ever rode with a clutch and feel comfortable with it, my friend bought a mini bike for his nephew and rode it over to show me. Right when he pulled in he told me I needed to ride it, I didn't think anything of it but when he told me that there was no foot brake or clutch I got a little nervous but he assured me that it was fine. I made it like ten feet and pulled the front brake and almost flipped it. I shut it off and walked it back to him feeling like an absolute idiot.
