John, you’ve done an amazing job as lead guitar in this band and we all love it. Watching the 2015 shows compared to the 2023 shows, man you’ve grown into a force that can’t be reckoned. Thank you!

There will never be a new Jerry Garcia. But there is John Mayer. Unreal. Coming from a true deadhead, this band fucking rocks.

John has earned my respect. Everyone knows that Jerry will never be replaced and Jerry certainly wouldn't want the band sitting on the music. That's because nature of music is ever the beat goes on.

Two intelligent and reflective musicians. A joy.... and some valuable insights to the dynamics of being in a band.

I just watched this after seeing these two lovely gentlemen and rest of the crew in Boulder, Colorado. Man… when he talks about bringing people to an experience. I have always listened to the Dead, but when I went to see them in Boulder and see what Shakedown Street and all the culture was about… this brought a whole new light to what the Grateful Dead means to so many people and myself. John will never take Jerry’s spot, of course not. At 75 years old I have never seen Bobby so alive and full of new breath. This was one of the best experiences of my life. (Folsom Field Boulder July 1, 2, 3 2023) night 3 was insane

Jerry died when I was 18. I was heartbroken I’d never see him live again. But now I go to D&Co shows with my daughter and feel so blessed she gets to experience this musical magic.

If you’re genuinely trying to keep the music alive while exploring and growing within the Dead, more power to you! Mayer is a top 10 world accomplished guitar player. Weir very lucky to have him step in because he gets it.

This interview with these two legends is a delightful experience and John Mayer’s input brings an ‘east coast’ sensibility to a west coast band to create a new dynamic. I cannot wait to see them perform in Europe hopefully not too long into the future with Mayer in the fold.

Johnny I love how you gave respect to Jerry's range and reach, you said that beautifully. I have really grown to love your vibe with the tribe ❤❤❤ you have my love and respect for the amazing artist you are and what you've brought to the GD family. I miss Jerry, but I'm so grateful that God gave us you to carry on and expand the love light ✨️ hope I get the chance to come to another show, keep going forever and ever.

Is there anyone else out there who liked Bob Weir's album Blue Mountain so much that they wish he would make another one?

Just let it happen, you guys know. I thought the "50th shows" atleast on bobs end was to wound tight to scripted, all I thought was relax and let it flow guys! But none the less so glad the core four are still alive and well to play music. So sad to see Wasserman leave us, I know we must go sometime, but it's still hard. To me he made rat dogs sound unique. Keep on trucking fellas, glad your still here in the flesh to play to who ever will listen(~);}

I think having recently become a G.D. fan in 2016 but having absorbed all their aongs and knowing their music, not because i disliked them for the past 30 years, but that's another story. The point is i think John Mayer has taken a refreshing take on the already made songs of the Grateful Dead and gieven each song, of course each version is not going to be the same, but i enjoy listening to Dead and Company all the time, and hope to see them in concert soon
