ILA 2015 - Dr. Marco Bischof - Biophotons and Light Experiences

Biophotons and Light Experiences – How I came to be Involved in Biophoton Research:

In my career as a hippie in the 1960s and 1970s I had a number of light experiences under the influence of psychedelic drugs and later by means of breathing exercises during my training as a breathing therapist. I asked myself were these experiences purely subjective or was there an objective reality behind it ? End of the 1970s I happened to find an article by Fritz-Albert Popp in a science magazine reporting the measurement of a light emission from living beings. Subsequently I made an interview with Popp and got more and more involved into the work of Popp’s research group, until I became general secretary and member of the board of directors of the International Institute of Biophysics. Many years later I had more light experiences of a new quality when I meditated. I will try to report about these experiences and their relationship with biophoton measurements.
