Bravo, that is exactly the problem fix... My desktop Lenovo was crushing from time to time so I decided to upgrade to windows 8.1 and I got the same error and after replacing DRAMs I was able to install Windows 8.1... Thank you...

I approached this problem from a tech standpoint. I keep getting this error regardless of the media I use to install, or the several PC's I use to create the media. I also got the error on Windows 8 and 7 media. I have deduced that there is a problem on the PC I am installing on. I changed the HDD and updated the bios, still the same problem. I even get errors installing Linux ISO's. I am thinking there is a problem with IO controller on the motherboard!
