Fix - Windows Cannot be Installed to this Disk / Windows Cannot Install Required Files 0x8007025D

WARNING - This process will delete everything on your HDD.

This didn't fix my problem, but I learned about pressing Shift+10 to enter a command prompt during windows installation, so that's useful.

When creating the 'USB boot driver' the 'Partition scheme' has to be set to 'MBR' in order for this fix to work... I used Rufus to created my UBS booth drive, set the partition scheme to MBR to create the boot disk, then formated the HD & followed his steps & it should work for you to :)

This sorta helped fix the issue. with my first USB media creation tool, this did not help. I created a 2nd USB media creation tool. then followed your provided steps. this time it worked. I'm not sure if the new USB or the clean\convert MBR did the trick, but I am happy I got windows installed. thanks for the video.

Didn't work for me. After attempting to clean it, the screen prompts " Virtual Disk Service error: Clean is not allowed on the disk containing the current boot, system, pagefile, crashdump or hibernation volume." Any suggestions please? 😮

THANK YOU! <3 this wasn't working for me at first and I wasn't sure why but then I noticed my usb drive was FAT32 so I converted it to NTFS and that solved the issue and I was able to follow your tutorial.

Ran across this in google search for this error. Had bad Win 10 update corrupt my registry. Followed steps on Microsoft website to create USB boot disk for fresh install and kept getting stuck. This totally fixed my install issue by clearing the drive. Big thanks on this.

Gosh im very thankful to you it workss. Huhu im crying cause i couldnt install the windows on my laptop cause it always got error. And i watched a lot of videos but all of them doesnt work... i tried different method but didnt work but then i find your vids. And you are like an angel who become my life saver. This is what i did i hope it can help anyone.

So you need to have a usb bootable drive for your windows to install then go bios just up the flash drive and save then install the windows in the partition disk format all partition the delete until only one unallocated partition left. Then type in your keyboard "SHIFT F10" to enter command promp and Type "Diskpart" enter
Type "list disk" type select disk 0 or what ever disk you have there. Then type clean after that type convert gpt. And then enter and after that exit then exit.. and you should next only the unlocated parition to install and you wont get any error. Thank you so much for this videoo <3 <3

What I did was just burn the ISO to a DVD instead of USB and that work for :D

MBR conversions can ONLY be done with WinPE repair disk, NOT with Windows 10 disks - AND - MBR isn't valid as a Windows 10 install anyway it seems. Right back where we started after 2 hours.
