Speaking as a detransitioned woman, we are many but few speak out due to the backlash they’d face. The second a detrans woman mentions any ill of the trans community’s toxic positivity or detransitioning, suddenly she was “faking it” “not really trans” “doing it for attention” “punching down on trans people”

If the rate of detransitioners was only 1% or 2% and that was sufficient justification to not prevent the transitioning of young children then the fact that those who would transition is below 1% is sufficient justification for not changing how society segregates men and women spaces based on sex and not gender identity.
