I love it when Grandpa comes to visit. He is such a cheerful guy!
Nice to see Science Mike too.

I thought my merc was bad for access!
If the O2 sensor is seized, the split sockets tend to slip. Now I just cut the cables off and use a normal socket and heat. Have just purchased an induction coil heater to make the heating less “interesting”.

I was hoping you had a special trick. Mine won't come out and looks pretty rounded now. It may be 35 years old

Spent two hours trying to remove the O2 sensor of my 2010 Mustang. I had all the dexterity of a geriatric ape with Parkinson's disease before passing the task off to my 70 year old retired mechanic father-in-law who swapped it out within 5 minutes. Victory...and then the check engine light flipped again with the same error 100 miles later. Looks like the ECM needs a fix. If only some charming middle-aged Youtubing mechanic also had a video about fixing the ECM on 15 year old Mustangs... Oh, how convenient...

Need to spray the sensor with electronic cold spray when the exhaust is hot.

Kroil - look it up..wet it, let it sit for a day.. initial tap to break rust free, then wind out.
