I think it’s great that they modified it to 8 minutes, it’s true that 10 minutes might be pushing it since some viewers probably don’t have the attention span for it. Thanks for the update! I’m sure a lot of youtubers are taking advantage if this new rule and extending the videos to at least the 8 minute mark or cutting down the B-roll for the 10 minute mark.

I think the midrow adds that Youtube wants to implement by the end of July would have its own pros and cons. One of the pros is that yes, for a content creator, it would help them to earn more revenues but personally for me, as a viewer, I would not really love to see ads in the middle of the videos I am watching especially if I've been anticipating to watch that video for a long time.
