How do we know if we are making a great tape measure? By testing it! REEKON Tools takes pride in releasing innovative products. However, innovation and new technology is only useful if it can live up to the rigorous demands of a jobsite.

Part 1 of our durability exploration show the lengths we go to to ensure we are working on a remarkable tape measure and the lengths we go to in order to validate each function and component of the tape measure assembly. We have countless custom fixtures, jigs, and calibration machines (some of which are a trade secret) that put our tape measures through the full process of testing.

I work in construction, so I would like to see how the tape stands up to different types of dust, debris and liquids. I didn't see any of that type of testing in this video.

I am very excited about getting this tool, but I do not really care about these kind of promotional videos, those say, that if you are a professional, than our product is indispensable for you to become the Best of the bests, because our product is also the Best of the bests. The Time will decide if it is an expensive toy or a real product, that helps us all years long in the jobsites and in the workshop, too. Let us talking about this product after 2-3 years of using it. Where’s the drop test? Tape measures get dropped. I’m not talking dropping it off a building but it should survive a 3-4 ft drop at least.
