HOW TO BOND WITH YOUR RABBIT

In today's video, I will show you how to create a bond with your pet rabbit. Rabbit's are an AMAZING companion and can form amazing bonds with you if done correctly. This video will show some tips and tricks to form a bond with your bunny or to make an even stronger bond.

I picked up a rescue rabbit who was obviously rejected snake food or something horrible, he absolutely hates being touched and trying to pick him up is not recommended. I find what makes him really calm is making sure to never violate his safe space except maybe to drop a treat if he particularly anxious. But ya I've built him 3 hiding places equipped with all bunny needs to make him feel safe and secure in my home!

When I brought Herbie bun home it didn't take him long to bond with me as I spent the day on the floor and after checking out the place, his cage etc., he just flopped beside me but I resisted the urge to pet him till he nudged me with his little nose. How cute is this? Love him. We're inseparable now xxx

I just recently got another bunny after not having one for several years. My older bunnies were actually very sedentary, they didn't run around a lot, they'd sit where you put them and just kinda chill there. I don't know what kind they were but they were just very calm rabbits. She's a small dwarf rabbit and is still a baby only a few months old, and is incredibly energetic. I have her in a cage and a pen so she can hide and run around a play, but I was so convinced she wasn't bonding well with me because she'd hide from me when I put her food in her bowl and flinch away when I let her out and I'd try to pet her...Until my boyfriend came to visit and I saw her around someone else. I saw how she'd keep more distance between him and her, and how when he'd offer her a carrot she'd take 2 bites and run away where as if I'd offer her one or when I sat down she'd run around me right next to me, and eat the entire baby carrot out of my fingers. I've only had her 2 months, so I wasn't expecting a miracle, but from what I see now with the difference in behavior between her with me and her with others, is incredible and it's clear that while we're not fully bonded she does trust me and know I'm not going to hurt her and it gives me hope we'll get even closer in the future. :)

I adopted my dwarf Silver Martin almost a year ago when he was about 2 years old. it took months to build trust but, that made the trust even more special as it came.
He's amazing. He's ocd about things on the side of his multi-room run. He prefers pets when he sits in one of two areas only. He has so much personality that he makes me laugh and I just love him so much.
Really, truly, we'd never have gotten to this point without your videos.

I think the key to strong bond is simply spending time with your bunny, as much as you can especially if they don't have a friend.

I love training as a form of bonding with any pet. It's fun to interact with your pet, and it really does make me feel closer with my pets to work toward a common goal. My favorite thing I taught my rabbit to do was to high five, because his high fives were more like a high thirty, lol. Also, he was very eager to do it, because it usually meant he'd get a treat.

I watched so many of your videos two years ago before I got my first bunny. I watched a lot of videos and read lots of articles on rabbit care and how to bond with them. I followed your tips from a past video once she was home and it took about a month before she was a cuddle bun. She was only a month old when she came home so she's only ever known how to he a spoiled bun and to be a diva. About 6 months ago we got another bunny! He was around 5 months at the time and had just become available at the rescue. The 2 bunnies bonded in about a week and now they are the cutest love buns ever! He is a very shy and scared rabbit however and has only now 6 months later started to allow us to pet him a bit at a time. He does love to come play with me on the couch and lay down under the table near us. He loves us and is slowly starting to trust us. We are not sure what happened to him before he came to the rescue to make him so scared, but I'm glad he's starting to trust us. I'm so sorry for the super long comment. Thanks so much for your videos as they have helped me care for my babies and to build a great relationship with them.

I usually just let my rabbit free roam. Then I sit in the middle of the floor and let me come to me! Then I give him a pet or a treat!

I got my bunny just a few days ago, he looks like Lulu. He's just a little older than a baby, so he's very playful. He almost immediately bonded with me and my sister! He's always grooming our hands and making us pet him.

Herbie is a hyper bunny never sits still for long but is discovering that when he snuggles up to mama he gets pampered so is learning this is a good thing to do. So wants more and so spend my evenings watching tv with bun snuggled up xxx
