Jesus literally explains the sign in Matthew 12:40. I'll add verse 39 as well for reference:

Matthew 12:39-40
39 He answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

We read in Revelation 16:15 that the Lord will come as a thief and that we should ALWAYS be ready. That means today, tomorrow and until He comes. Yes, be aware and cautious of signs that the Bible >clearly< speaks about. Don't wait for an eclipse or anything like that. Be with the Lord TODAY and live for Him until the day comes that He returns again. May God bless you all.

The sign of jonah was the resurrection of jesus christ on the third day, after being dead for and laid in the tomb for those three days. Jonah was swallowed by the fish and spent three days in the depths of the sea taken to death until it spit him out

During the 2017 total solar eclipse (first one like it in a century) the 7.1 earthquake hit Mexico the same day, then an 8.1 earthquake hit Mexico again a few weeks later. The last one like it was 1776. I think it’s an omen for much worse that what we got with C-19. I believe the Lord will protect his true followers.
