Back in the day, we used to have problems with consistency in our reporting. Some reports would calculate a percentage, and another report would calculate another one. The reason, both report came from different sources, different dates, or filters, and it was very hard to track the reason of the difference. Power Bi, allows to share a data through data flows, or data sets that make it easy to make sure reports are always consistent.

I don't agree that Power BI makes it easy to share reports, the costs and complexity of licensing makes it hard to be confident that everyone you share a report with can access it.

Also, Power BI is less expensive than Tableau per worker per month. Last I checked it was $10 per user per month on the enterprise subscription. Tableau costs $70 per user per month.

It definitely is not easy to learn compared to tableau and other visualization tools I've used I feel like this is the weak point of power bi it's not intuitive compared to competitors

It’s good except it won’t run on Mac unless you have Parallels installed, which is ok I guess. Not sure how fast it will run but you have to switch back and forth between Op systems. Will there ever be a Mac version? I hate PCs.

Hi, if there is a set of different Excel files and there are steps applied to them, like merge, combine and group, and there is an update in one/many Excel files in terms of values and it is not possible to update each and every column value, in this case how can we replace the Excel file/files (keeping the same file name) so that the all the steps can/will be applied as it is after file replacement

Not that easy, nothing is labelled or called what it does, similar to excel and I can’t remember seeing the mouse hover descriptions on any functions. It corrupted my excel spreadsheet tables when I linked the two, however I have only tried the 365 version and not desktop as my company has blocked the Microsoft store
