The movie is called Tethered (2022) for those wondering. I had to look it up and best I can tell, what we saw at the end is literally all you get, there's no missed scenes or cutoffs that would have made this less confusing and kinda ridiculous. The consensus of this movie is basically "There are more questions than anything else by the end, and not the good kind."

We get an ending that leaves a lot of questions unanswered and goes from effective to ludicrous in a literal blink of an eye. It almost feels like they were running out of time and money so they just threw something together at the last moment. There’s no reason for so many questions to be left unanswered or for nobody to have realized how bad the final shot would look.
If you actually watch the movie, a recording made by the boy’s father says that he has to leave for unspecified reasons and that his wife is sick and moving out there hasn’t helped her like they hoped it would. What her illness is or why moving to the middle of nowhere would help.

The ending is easy to understand, His mother is a werewolf, hence why she decided to be responsible and secluded herself, even chained herself up in the forest. Luke ended her life, yes it is murder, however, it was because he knew what she is.

From what i saw in the movie, theres also a part where while the mothers alive, theres a dark figure watching solomon from the woods. i thought this was his father, and the mother ends up going out there one night because she herself is probably gonna turn into what the father did, and had to chain herself up as well to prevent her from hurting solomon. Solomons eyesight could be because of the same illness, or maybe curse that the family has. the problem is like others said the movie looks like it ran out of money, really good premise for the story, and they could probably even do a sequel but i doubt itll happen.

Basically The Father Was Some Kind On Monster As We Seen When Lukus Was A Kid in The Woods With his Mom Wen he Found his Dads Chain in the woods and his Mom Snatched Him Away From it And Told him never Go That Way Into The Woods. Then As The Mother Felt Like She Was Going To Be Turning She Left And Went An Turned With The Father Maybe Thats Why They Kept Lukus Tethered up Just in Case He Turns Aslo IDK THIS IS JUST MY THEORY.🤷🏽‍♂️💯But The Mother Said Something About once They Die They Change Over Or Somthing Like That When They Were Fishing In The Beginning.🤦🏾‍♂️

Lukus says, monster. I say that the family members turn into monster at night, explains the den and chains. His mother had to kill his father as his father was the monster chained first that night his mother left she was turned into the beast to take his father's place and chained herself up to protect her son. then she turned after killing his father, when lukus broke the chain, his mother was free and he had to kill her before she ending kiling him as she's done lukus.

The point of the movie: To give u something to watch when u want to scroll on ur phone or have to do work. So at the end, ur like, “wait what? What happened?” For u to have to rewind it half way to only pay attention & realize it was that dumb.
