Exodus 11:1-7
"And the Lord said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.

Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver and jewels of gold.

And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.

And Moses said, Thus saith the Lord, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:

And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.

And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.

But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel."

There is nowhere in the Bible where Moses rode a horse and dressed like a soldier with a sword to tell Pharaoh to let the lira elites go. He had a shepherd’s staff and wore a shepherd’s robe. The Bible cannot be changed to suit movies. He may have been an adopted Egyptian prince once and a great soldier, but now he was humble but resolute servant of GOD with a staff for a weapon.

I wish Ramases had just let the Hebrews go I still wish the first born would've been spared but if God knew this was the price to make Pharaoh change his mind then it's in his hands

Where is Aaron? He was Moses mouth piece. Moses was not a speaker.

I freaking love movies like this that are historical FICTION, where the director just wants to make a fun film, and not pretend that it's historically accurate or not. There are so many, Cleopatra from the 50s, Lawrence of Arabia. Dances with Wolves, Clint Eastwoods Man with no Name Trilogy, Marco Polo from Netflix, and so on.

Here's the crazy thing he spared the man and he even said he didn't want nothing bad to Egypt

This could've been done very well, the special effects were truly amazing, if it had stuck to the story told in the Bible.

In the Bible, Moses, being raised in the royal house of Egypt, spent forty years in the land of Midian as a sheppard, fleeing at the age of forty years old, after killing an Egyptian taskmaster for beating a Hebrew slave, as the book of Acts records when Steven gave his testimony before the sanhedrin. - ( Acts 6:20-36.)

When God spoke to an 80 year old Moses at the burning bush, Moses expressed inadequacy, even saying he wasn't an fluent speaker, which could denote a speech impediment, which is then God chose his older brother Aaron, 83 years old, as a spokesman for Moses, God even noting that Aaron was a very eloquent speaker. - ( Exodus 4:10-16, 7:7.)

It was Aaron who predominantly spoke to Pharoah, and it was also Aaron who not only turned his staff into a snake, , but who also signaled the start of the first three plagues of Egypt - Turning the Nile into blood, the Frogs, and the Gnats. ( Exodus 7:8-13, 19-21, 8:5, 6, 1617.

When Israelites left Egypt, the Exodus says they were lead by a pillar of cloud by day, and a pillar of fire by night, something that continued throughout their forty year trek in the wilderness. - ( Exodus 13:21, 22, 40:36-38.)

When Pharaoh and his army pursued the Israelites, God caused the Pillar two come in between the two camps, therefore blocking the army from getting to the Israelites. - (Exodus 14:19, 20.)

Afterward, God commanded Moses to stretch his staff over the Red sea, and after Moses did so, the Sea split in two, providing a pathway through the sea, which the Israelites crossed at length. - ( Exodus 14:21, 22.)

God then allowed Pharoah and his army to pursue, and after causing the wheels to come off their chariots, commanded Moses to stretch out his staff yet again over the sea, and after Moses did so, the walls of water closed in on Pharoah and his army. - ( Exodus 14:23-31.)

Sorry but this is so far from the Moses of the Bible. “The Ten Commandments” was MUCH closer to the truth because Cecil B. DeMille did his research from the Bible and many other sources so that it was as close to the truth as possible.

Isn’t it wonderful how acting has been reduced to muttering and whispering! Ugh

So far from the truth recorded in the Bible. Moses was 80 years old. He sure did not need armor and a sword.
