Shout out to all the people who help raise other people’s kids like their own. It takes a very special person to do that.

Mexican may not be in your blood but it’s definitely in your heart & soul. I love Mexican food and culture.

Love it reminds me of my elderly Polish neighbor who was closer to me than any of my grandparents. She helped raise me from 5-17 when she passed. She'd make delicious potato pancakes and cabbage rolls. Didn't even know I was being blessed to experience an entirely different culture front center. I miss her.

Mexican culture was a big part of my life for the first 13 years of my life as a Puerto Rican living in California. I live in Florida now but I’m still in love with Mexican food. I’m always looking for authentic Mexican food and I still roll up everything up in a tortilla.🔥🔥🔥

My mom raised a little girl in our neighborhood and taught her how to eat many Mexican dishes. We’ve lost contact with her since moving but I hope that she still loves Mexican food and thinks of us 🥹

I work in the restaurant industry, we didn't serve Mexican food. But the chef made a ton of Mexican food for us, and the chef and I would talk about his mother a lot. She had passed a while back. And it was wonderful to eat the food he learned from his mother, and taste that. Arnaldo is a good man, and I know he misses his mother, and it always made him happy to see how much we all loved the food he cooked. Because it honored his mother.

I'm not Mexican, but I grew up in South Whittier (LA) and all my neighbors were. I was raised by that community, and it majorly influenced my life. Mexican food is the most nostalgic for me, from the soups to the snacks and candies. Its what made me love and try all other different kinds of foods and experiment with my own cooking.

This guy has the most stereotypical Mexican cheech and Chong south central in the 70s voice I’ve ever heard.
