I was a child who grew up in a Christian household and went to church almost every Sunday. My parents have gotten a divorce and that went away. I began to have my doubts on his existence and parted away from him. As a teenager I was overweight and unattractive and decided I wanted to work on myself. I've achieved my goals and then some, and all I ever worked for at this point was to get approval and/or get in a woman's pants and to get approval from other people. I truthfully have experienced what I wanted sexually but in the end I felt empty. The approval of other people were starting to get to me. Out of no where I re found my faith in Christ and made him the center of my life. I've deleted social media and gave up having sex with strangers along with watching pornography after. I'm over 100 days on the semen retention you've talked about. I don't believe him coming back to me was my own doing, I truly feel like he called me back to him and I'm so grateful that he did. my eyes have been opened

I've struggled with anxiety depression night terrors and suicidal thoughts for 10 years, my mother grandfather and aunt killed themselves. I grew up believing in a higher power but was never religious. One day recently I randomly got the urge to read the bible, shortly after I started seeing number sequences everywhere on my phone, digital clocks, , license plates etc. Eventually I noticed they looked like bible verses and sure enough whenever I see a number sequence for example one day I'll just be seeing something like 44 a lot maybe 1:44 4:44 5:44 etc and whenever I do this the bible verse had a direct answer to whatever I was thinking about or talking about or doing. The other night I was watching a video on YouTube about jesus healing the leper and I look over at the clock it was 1:44 AM.. 1:44 is the bible verse where jesus heals the leper. Now you tell me what to make of that

Side note: I prayed to the lord to heal my mind of all anxiety and depression and give me the energy to do the things I used to do and I woke up the next day feeling amazing. 1 prayer did what 10 years of pills couldn't

I was a materialistic Atheist for a few months but went back to believing in a God and creator. I had paranormal and supernatural experiences that i can't explain.

My spiritual journey is very young only started 4-5 months ago when God was calling me to reject the government as my God, and accept Jesus and God into my life. Since then God showed me what my purpose in life is.

Damn... eliot bro. I've been fighting my call towards my faith for the last 20 years and I've been aware of it. It has felt as you described it an empty space that I've been filling with b.s. I don't know why I keep fighting God.

At times I wonder whether we'd have so many depressed people seeking meaning in life if more people realized that there is a God above and that the human existence is not some sort of accident, that even suffering can have meaning.

It is no coincidence that atheists exhibit higher rates of suicide than believers of any religion. How sad must it be to think there is nothing out there.

Thank you for this Elliott, recently me and my girlfriend have a arguement we always go on sunday church mass, but she won't do the sign of the cross and take the sacraments, i explained to her that she need to participate on the mass but she won't do it and she think i'm forcing her. She is a God's believer and a good woman to become a wife but i just had this problem with her that we're not on the same phase about religion.
