Suspects posing as workers kill man, duct-tape woman at home in Rochester Hills

Two suspects claiming to be DTE workers killed a homeowner and restrained his wife with duct tape at a home in Rochester Hills on Friday, officials say.

They weren't allowed entrance last night, but came back and was allowed in the next morning? I would have checked with DTE last night to verify. If DTE didn't send them, and they showed up, I wouldn't have opened the door, but called the cops. I don't open the door for anyone I don't know or not expecting. My condolences to the husband.

My gas company sent me a letter to call them and set up an appointment for an inspection. I don't think they randomly show up at peoples homes. If they do don't allow them in.

If they came twice it means this was VERY targeted. The wife is definitely a suspect, because there is no way you come back the next day. She said it wasn’t the right time imo. And to deny access to the Ring camera??? Hmm 🤔 probably won’t see a (DTE) truck, she just threw them off

They should search other neighbors ring doorbell and try to track the truck through traffic cameras. All cities need more cameras. A drone could have followed this truck if it was part of a security system. A drone could have the truck tag and even the VIN # on the truck.
