I made my own big trowels years ago when nobody madethem had a d sheet metal guy made them out of stainless in 12 inch increments 2 3 and 4 foot ones. When i first then on a bad joint it was over 5/8 out took 3 days to finish it as it took time to dry the mud
. When done it looked great took over half the bucket but worth it.

What’s the benefits and disadvantages of level 5 finishing? I’m getting ready to finish out my garage and I don’t know if I want to do this or not
