Here is my Keybinds Checklist for Fortnite. In this video, I do my best to guide you to get the best, most optimal, settings in fortnite! Hope this helps!

Here are my binds: Q = wall, LShift = Floor, E= ramp, Middle Mouse Button = cone, F = edit and i use scroll wheel down to reset
Inventory binds: 1 = AR, 3= Smg, 4=Shotgun, CapsLock = heals, V= Sniper/Utillity. (btw i dont have a mouse whith buttons yet)
EDIT: i CANNOT press 2 easily so i just skip it and use 2 for auto run




My NEW Binds:
Side Mouse Buttons = Wall/Ramp, L-Shift = Floor, E = Cone, F = Edit and I use scroll wheel down to reset till
Inventory binds are the same besides Caps Lock which I made Q instead as its WAY easier to press.
I STILL cannot press 2 easily

the most important part of “optimal” is if your able to run in every direction and switch to every build in each direction without taking your finger off a or d. this allows for better movement, piece control and reaction time because you dont have to press your build bind then press a or d to run whatever direction you want. its ine less action fir your fingers to do

the last two days i tilted my keyboard position and hit the F for editing with my thumb instead of my index finger, i don't know why i didn't try it before its amazing. i use mouse button 5 for wall mouse button 4 for floor, and ramp with C and middle mouse button and cone with capslock, also i get my shotgun with scroll wheel down, i don't think it can get more optimized than that. i feel like a pro piano player now using all the fingers equally and smoothly, sorry if bad spelling english is not my first language.

wasd=movement
jump= space
crouch= control
cone=shift
stair=mouse sidebutton
wall=mouse sidebutton
floor= v (pressing with thomb)
reload= r
shotgun= pressing scrollbutton in mouse
ar=1
smg=2
heal/3. gun =3, 4
harvest tool= e
edit= f
ping= b
EMOTE= n, m
map= t
inventory= capslock
trap= c (pressing with thomb)
reset= of course scrollwheel
use= scrollwheel
and autorun (very useful)= 5

tab - pickaxe
T - trap

My least optimal button is probably e to edit but i feel i have no other option except for m5 but it feels super bad using it to edit i tried it

I personally have 1 build bind for 1 finger, so that way its even more optimal, this is just my opinion tho.

I use scroll up for slot 1 weapons and 2 for slot 2 and scroll down for third slot

It’s all preference I went from optimal binds to only using mostly index finger binds and I ended up performing way better from get go.
